A Quick Parisian Getaway

Spending a weekend away with my mom and sister is undoubtedly going to be fun, but spending it with them in the magnificent city of Paris made it fun and then some!

We celebrated my sisters 30th birthday the best way we know how, in a city we all love, with each other, surrounded by gorgeous architecture, delicious food and wine, and an abundance of charm.

We have all (fortunately) been to Paris before, so this trip was more to enjoy each other in our favorite city. A lot of shopping, wandering, walking, eating, and more shopping happened. The goal wasn’t to see all of the sights – we just wanted to enjoy and live like locals!

Experiencing a city this way was so nice; I was very relaxed as there was no set schedule. I was surprised that I hardly took photos on my camera, but it was nice to “unplug” and enjoyed Paris with my eyes this time instead of being picture crazy! I visited Paris in 2016 for six days with my (now) husband so it had felt like I was just there.

Some highlights included our morning at the Eiffel Tower, having lunch on the Champs Elysees, the view out of our hotel room, having the best onion soup, and getting a crepe on the side of the street. To cap it off, we spent our last night admiring the glowing Eiffel Tower from afar. A perfect girls getaway!
