Earth is very much alive. As strange as it may seem, many scientists studying quantum physics even believe Earth is a conscious entity. According to The Path of Energy, “The Earth is alive, is part of a holographic totality, is conscious, and has both an energetic and physical reality.”
This may appear to be a new concept to us– the idea that Earth is alive and has awareness. But ancient civilizations seemed to understand this centuries ago. They respected the Earth and treated it as a living being. They knew human survival was dependent on living in harmony with our planet.
There are certain areas on Earth that are considered high energy vortexes, sacred sites, or “power spots.” Many believe these areas of our planet are used to transmit information from the larger universe through the Earth to all life forms. It’s almost like the Earth is emitting “instructions” on how to live through these locations. Ancient cultures seemed to be aware of these sacred sites, and many of the wonders of the world are located on them.
There are seven major sacred sites located around the Earth. I don’t want to go into too much detail, but the human body has seven chakra points. The Earth’s seven sacred sites mirror the chakras found in our body. (Root Chakra= Pelvis, Sacral Chakra= lower abdomen, Solar Plexus Chakra= upper abdomen, Heart Chakra= chest, Throat Chakra= throat, Third Eye Chakra= right above and between our eyebrows, and Crown Chakra = top of our head.)
The major sacred sites are:
- Mount Shasta in California (Root Chakra)
- Lake Titicaca in Peru (Sacral Chakra)
- Uluru and Kata Tjuta in Australia (Solar Plexus Chakra)
- Glastonbury, UK (Heart Chakra)
- Great Pyramid at Giza in Egypt (Throat Chakra)
- Kuh-e-Malek Siah in Iran (Third Eye Chakra)
- Mount Kailas in Tibet Himalaya Mountains (Crown Chakra)
In addition to these sites, there are hundreds of minor sacred sites that hold special energy. These sites are built near vortexes or along Earth Meridians where energy is being fed.
So, why should we be interested in these sites? Visiting these places is supposed to help clear your own internal chakras. It cleanses your soul, balances your internal systems, and can help you expand your consciousness. They are great places to hold ceremonies or meditations. I’ve had the chance to visit a few of these sites over the years, but have a serious pull to visit more now! Below is a list of the minor sacred sites I’ve had the chance to see.
